Healing with Virgo ~ full moon in Pisces
Happy full moon AND Friday 13th!
This is the first full moon on Friday 13th since 2000 and the next one will be in 2049. Tonights full moon is in Pisces - the last sign of the zodiac which signifies endings, changes and shifts.
Releasing and letting go is needed to heal and grow yet this is super challenging but the full moon is illuminating what needs to change or to be released, though it seems hard to do, know that what is meant for you will always come back to you. Pisces is represented by 2 fish swimming in opposite directions, do you feel like you are swimming against the current or going with the flow? Now is the time to trust your intuition, follow your gut and remember that you welcome more in with open hands then with closed fists!
We are in the month of September the 9th month of the year. The number 9 is seen as the last number in numerology to start again at 1 and 9 represents endings and a time of letting go. Think about the trees releasing their leaves as we move into autumn, and though some trees are evergreen we have to honour that some must shed their leaves to be able to bloom once more in Spring.
So what has this got to do with Virgo and healing?!
Virgo has a big lesson to teach us - the art of letting go of perfection!
When we want something so badly to go right, be perfect, have no hiccups, to not be hit by Mercury Retrograde(!) we can fail to see the bigger picture as we zone in on the small things. We plan and plan and plan some more yet we can be so focused on everything go to schedule that we forget to have fun in the process - welcome to Virgo out of balance! Lists are great, being organised, prepared and on time is amazing BUT when we get put in the role of being the person who has to know all the answers and solve all the problems we can be our own worse enemy and become judgmental and self criticising - wishing we could have done better rather than enjoying what we have just achieved!
To heal we must let go of perfection, the most well known Virgo healer is Mother Teresa and she spent her life trying to heal people that were incurable! Yet she kept at it knowing she could help make these people comfortable at the very least, give them connection when people wanted to avoid them incase they themselves become infected and she never gave up hope. One of her inspirational quotes is - ‘Its not about how much you do, but how much love you put into what do that counts’. This is what we need to remind ourselves of - put that love into your projects, business, family, dreams BUT make sure you enjoy taking part in them not just doing them to tick them off the bucket list!
Friday the 13th - once considered the day of the Goddess or the day of Venus before patriarchal times, a day to celebrate the cycles of creation, death and rebirth - releasing and letting go creating space for your intentions. Tanaaz from Forever Conscious has written a beautiful article on The Spiritual Significance of Friday the 13th if you’d like to learn more.
The wounded healer - the best and most inspiring healers are usually wounded themselves! As we reach Virgo the 6th sign in the zodiac we have been through a lot since we start our journey in Aries, we may have been broken but we have gotten back up and continued on with our journey with the knowledge to pass on as we move towards the next sign in the zodiac.
